Deleting your boopr account is permanent and available to everyone, at any time, with no waiting period and no retention tricks. This page explains the two ways to delete your account, what gets removed, and how long removal takes. The full detail lives in our Privacy Policy, Sections 10 and 11.
Delete from the app (fastest)
- Open boopr and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
Your account is deactivated immediately and all of your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email privacy@boopr.com with the subject line “Account Deletion.” We confirm receipt within 48 hours. Because boopr accounts have no email address or phone number attached, we will ask you to verify that you own the account before we delete it, as described in our Privacy Policy, Section 12. Deletion completes within 30 days of verification.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account: your account record and keys, encrypted profile, posts, comments, likes, boops, photos and videos, friend connections, invite records, device and session records, and synced client data. Encrypted content may persist in server backups for up to 90 days after deletion, and remains unreadable ciphertext we cannot decrypt. A small set of legal records is retained where the law requires it, with identifying details scrubbed. Subscription billing is handled by Apple or Google; cancel your subscription in your device’s subscription settings, since deleting your boopr account does not cancel a store subscription.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You can delete any individual post or comment in the app at any time. A boop you sent can be deleted before it is opened, and opened boops erase themselves. Your profile details can be edited or cleared in Settings.
Not a member? Leaving the invite waitlist
If you joined the invite waitlist and want your email address removed, email privacy@boopr.com with the subject line “Waitlist Removal.” Removal is permanent, deletes the record entirely, and requires no account. See our Privacy Policy, Section 3.15.
