Deleting your account
Open Settings and tap "Delete account." Your data on the device wipes immediately, and your encrypted data on our servers is deleted right away, with media files following within minutes.
Because everything we store is encrypted with keys we don't have, there was never anything on our side we could read, and after deletion there's nothing left to keep. Deleting is final: there's no trash can to restore from.
Getting your data out
A full data export isn't available at launch; it's on the roadmap with no firm date yet. When it ships, your export will be encrypted with your recovery phrase and openable on a new device or on its own.
In the meantime, your 24-word recovery phrase already moves your account, posts, and profile to a new phone, so your data is never locked to a single device.
Your data isn't trapped here
boopr is built on standard, documented encryption, not a private format only we can open. That's deliberate: even if boopr disappeared tomorrow, the design doesn't hold your data hostage. Your recovery phrase is the key, and it's yours.
Recovery is free, deletion is complete. Moving to a new phone never costs anything, and deleting your account actually removes your data rather than just hiding it. Moving to a new phone.
