Send it to the people you pick
A boop goes to specific friends, not your whole feed. Send one to a single friend, or fire the same boop off to a group of them at once (up to 50). You can only boop people you're already friends with.
It disappears once it's seen
When a friend opens your boop, it's gone for them. Each person's copy disappears on its own once they've looked at it, so there's no growing pile of old boops to scroll back through. Even a boop that's never opened expires on a timer: about a day by default, and you can choose a shorter window when you send it.
Replays are your call
By default, a friend can replay a boop one more time after their first look. If you'd rather it be a single glance, you can turn replay off for that boop before you send it.
Photo or video
Photo boops are free for everyone. Video boops, up to 15 seconds long, are a boopr+ feature. Either way there's no daily limit: send as many as you like.
Screenshots aren't silent
If someone screenshots your boop, your phone gets a heads-up within a second or two, on both iOS and Android. No app can physically stop a screenshot, but on boopr you'll know it happened. More on screenshots.
Why "boop"? It's a quick, low-stakes way to send a moment to a few friends and have it vanish. Not a post for everyone, not a permanent record. The app is named after it.
